These are two random pics from the swamp tour. I would've taken more, but I was afraid that our tour guide would yell at me if I stopped paddling...

These are all of the Rosedown Plantation. The pictures on the left are postcards - the second shows the inside of the plantation. The walls of the entranceway are decorated with wall paper that depicts a panoramic scene. It's pretty cool. The picture on the right is a photo I took from the end of the driveway, towards the plantation.
Haunted Places

Here's an upside down lock. It's only one of two original locks left in the city.

This is the "Nice Lady Murder House," as I call it. Notice the boarded up window in the right picture. When the firemen broke into the third floor torture chamber, one of the slaves, terrified of further mutilation, ran out of the window to escape, and fell to her death. It's been boarded up ever since.

Here's the infamous Jean Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop on the left. I know, it looks like it's about to fall down, but it's actually quite sturdy. The only lighting consists of candles in jars on the tables...it's a nice dark, quiet bar. I loved it. The pic on the right is where the Sultan's brother, friends, and harem were murdered in one night.

Last, but not least, we have our haunted plantation, The Myrtles. The pic on the top is a postcard...the two pics on the bottom are taken from two different angles into a mirror. Our tour guide said that sometimes guests catch ghosts in the reflection. Can you see anything? I can. Take a look for yourself, then click here if you want me to show you what I see...
